The twisted stitch pattern consists of a series of linked knitted shapes with contrasting center and background textures. The lower band of the garment is worked in small circles on a checkerboard of textured squares. This pattern flows into the main section, where elongated ovals alternate between different lengths. Shown here in tonal-dyed color Uranus, Majolica embraces all the fundamentals of art. It is truly a masterpiece.
