Jaybird is an oversized pullover worked by holding two strands of together throughout its simple, yet interesting construction. The center and back panels are worked using reverse stockinette stitch. Each side body and sleeve piece is worked in traditional stockinette from stitches picked up along one side of the assembled center panels. The pickup is worked with the wrong side of the reverse stockinette center panels facing so the pickup welt will deliberately show on the outside of the garment as a decorative detail.
